A couple weeks ago I met the wonderful ladies of Zoomworks Photography– Marisu Wehrenberg & Shannah Cahoe Montgomery. I visited with them at their Athens studio; one of the historic Whitehall lofts that sits overlooking the North Oconee River. From the start, they were incredibly friendly and, as we talked over coffee, I found them to be very experienced in the art of wedding photography. Of course, with over 10 years under their belts, why wouldn’t they be:) I enjoyed learning about their detailed process with couples- especially their efforts to create day-of photography timelines for each wedding they work on. No matter how long the planning process takes, the actual day can go by in the blink of an eye. Having a plan that says what shots are most important to you and when they’ll be taken, is HUGE on the day of a wedding! And yes, the planner in me did a little dance learning about this…. you can never be too organized!
I also got to hear about the sultry side of their biz- exclusive boudoir shoots shot in the privacy of their studio. In fact, Shannah and Marisu are incredibly versatile, offering wedding, portrait, boudoir, commercial and fine art photography. I’m looking forward to collaborating with them on a styled shoot, some exotic idea we’ve yet to hatch up, but will no doubt be a fun time working on! You can check out more of their work on their website (link below) or… give them a call to meet up in person and take a peek at their very awesome studio space!
